Challenge

Kenya's 2.4 million orphans suffer a host of physical, sociological and psychological problems including lack of nutrition, education, and abuse. Only 5% have hope of completing a minimal level of education. Without assistance they will be uneducated, unskilled, and destitute adults. We concentrate our efforts in providing an atmosphere where they receive individualized attention, with the support of a family, while learning skills necessary to mature as responsible, self-sufficient adults.

Solution

Provide a HOME with three meals a day, medical care, education, tutoring, clothing, gardens, dairy goats and knowledge of sustainable living. This is accomplished through a 1-5 or 1-8 surrogate parent/child ratio and focuses on individualized care. Thank you GlobalGiving donors for helping us meet our 2015 budget. We are now working to obtain our full 2016 budget. Any amount raised over budget will help even MORE children in Kenya.

Long-Term Impact

Help us provide more than: 17,520 meals to children, 26 students' primary or high school fees, school uniforms, shoes, backpacks, and 12 months of full HOME sponsorship for up to 16 children per year. These children become responsible adults. Some of our grown and flown children are in college with sponsorships, working or have their own small business. It is wonderful when they come "Home" to visit.
