By Pamela Collett, Shirley Akinyi | Communications & Trainee
My name is Shirley Akinyi. I am a trainee at Kibera Film School.
I love writing, especially script writing. I heard about Kibera Film School through a friend. My mom supports me because it's what I want to do.
So far, what I'm learning about scriptwriting is that it is a bit tough. In scriptwriting, I'm trying to picture what I want to put down on paper
People here at Hot Sun Foundation are outgoing, friendly. We all communicate and share experiences.
There's real talent here. People are hard working. We know we will have five months of hard work to learn the basics of filmmaking.
What is my message to our supporters on Global Giving?
I want to tell them we have the potential and the determination. Just believe in us and from our films, they will see the results.
This holiday season, give a gift that makes a difference for so many talented young people, living in urban slums in East Africa.
You can give a gift in honor of someone you care about.
A recurring donation is even better, because it gives Hot Sun Foundation a steady income.
Please pass the word to your friends and family on Twitter, Facebook, blogs http://goto.gg/3632
THANK YOU!
Your support is appreciated by our communities and the hundreds of youth benefitting from Hot Sun Foundation!
Enjoy the holiday season!
