By Sally Korkin | Executive Director, Cedar Village Foundation
It’s that time of year when the Holidays descend upon Cedar Village to grant special wishes to the residents living in healthcare of our retirement community. This year, we have increased the amount of gifts given through our annual festivities to include those who are here for other circumstances such as elder abuse.
Whether it’s a cherished CD of jazz music or an electric toothbrush, each gift is meticulously sought after. It’s an amazing feeling to see the expression on these residents’ faces as they unwrap their special something.
It’s because of the generosity of donors like you that Cedar Village is able to provide these extra added acts of kindness to our residents. It is our goal to fulfill the lives of our residents while granting wishes. And for Mitzvah Day, this annual tradition is it!
