Update Report

We, at The Branch Foundation, would like to express our sincere gratitude for your kind donation. A special thank you goes to Marion Bizé who set up a very successful September Fundraiser for this project. As many donations were only made just recently, we have yet to receive them from GlobalGiving. We expect money for this project to be disbursed to us soon and once we receive it we'll be sure to keep you updated on how you have helped the girls/young women at the shelter. Our funding model ensures that 100% of your donation goes directly to where you intend it to go!

In the meantime, here's a short story about one of the girls at the shelter at The Cambodian Center for the Protection of Children's Rights (CCPCR):

Srey Leak is only in the 1st Grade at school so she studies with younger girls because she had never been to school before she came to CCPCR. Her family were too poor to send her and she had to work with her brothers. She finds school difficult still but not like it was when she first joined. Her friends motivate her a lot and the staff support her. The last thing she learnt at school was where all the provinces in Cambodia are. She likes learning about the world – mostly about the environment, water, air and also animals. Srey Leak likes to be busy, she is always joining in on activities, she learns weaving and also wants to learn how to sew soon. When she is older, Srey Leak wants to become a teacher.

We hope you continue to follow this project as it progresses. We would also like to remind you about Bonus Day on the 16th October in which all donations will be matched 30% by GlobalGiving. To see what time Bonus Day starts in your location, please click HERE.

Many thanks once again,

Tom Rosen

If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you will get an e-mail when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports via e-mail without donating or by subscribing to this project's RSS feed.
