With the support of our donors, JustWorld International provides a staple meal and purified drinking water to more than a thousand children at our projects each day. We are working with children in communities plagued by chronic malnutrition, and with children orphaned by HIV/AIDS- in Cambodia, Guatemala, and Honduras.
Did you know that at least 66 million children across the developing world attend classes on an empty stomach? Besides being painful and distracting, chronic hunger can also weaken cognitive functions or impair them permanently. While JustWorld's programs are focused on education, we know that hungry children to not learn and all of our beneficiaries come from homes where they don't have a secured meal or access to clean drinking water.
JustWorld has built nutrition programs to compliments its education initiatives in order to help the children become healthy students. With the support of our donors, JustWorld International provides a staple meal and purified drinking water to more than a thousand children at our projects each day. We are working with children in communities plagued by chronic malnutrition, and with children orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
In the long term, we hope that children who can successfully complete their education will be able to secure sustainably paying jobs and afford nutritious meals for themselves and their families.
