Justice After 40 years of Oil Contamination!

May 16, 2013

Thank you!

Dear Supporters,

We would like to thank you for your overwhelming support for the start of our Justice on the Pastaza campaign! With your help we have been able to raise nearly $4,500 for the Quechua people of the Pastaza. These funds will be used for emergency travel, communications and logistics, and necessary legal support as the Quechua people demand justice for 40 years of contamination.

Just last week, the Prime Minister of Peru actually apologized on behalf of the government to the affected communities. You can read more about this on our blog. This was a huge victory for the Quechua and the other affected indigenous groups in the area, and we hope that it marks a new stage of working together.

Throughout this process, we will be sending you regular updates on the Quehua's progress, and hope to be able to continue to deliver good news.

Again, we thank you so much for your support!

With Gratitude,

The Team at Alianza Arkana
