Wow! We had an exciting summer here at the Foundation, and we’d like to share some special details with you. Due to your generous support, the Foundation had the opportunity to send 10 military daughters to this summer’s Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy.
These 10 girls arrived from all of the country, including Remlap, Alabama and Auburn, Indiana. This is encouraging to the entire team here at the Foundation, as we work hard all year round to expand our outreach efforts. We feel that it is important that you hear just how the Foundation is changing the lives of military daughters from all over the country. We’d like to share the following words from a mother of one of our students whom you supported this summer by way of your contribution to the Foundation.
First and foremost, I don’t know where to begin to thank you for organizing the INCREDIBLE camp that you and your staff put together each year. Brianna Crowe’s experience at your camp this year in Chicago was, in a word, AWESOME! She learned skills and practical lessons in life that she would not have learned by going to one of the local camps here in Alabama. Once again, I thank you so much for the skills, values, and the chance to meet you and all of the other guests you had at this camp, she learned so much from all of you. A special thanks also to Marnie and Kerri, who made it so easy and were so helpful in guiding us on what to do, so that our girls could obtain their scholarship. Once again, thank you, all of you!
As we approach an important time in our 2011 fundraising efforts, we hope that you will continue to support our mission. We are celebrating the work we’ve done thus far, but we believe that we have the ability to expand our outreach even further and provide an amazing opportunity to more deserving young girls of our United States military families.
Thank you very much for your generosity and for CHOOSING TO MATTER!

The Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation
As we approach the 1st of July, the Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation is excited to have 10 girls from military families registered to attend the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy this summer. In fact, we have two military daughters at the JFSLA's New Jersey session this week, thanks to your generous contributions and support.
These 10 girls are coming to the Academy from locations such as Remlap, Alabama and Auburn, Indiana. This is great news, as it validates our efforts to expand our outreach so that we can continue to share our unique leadership tranining with girls from all around the USA.
As we approach another national holiday, we ask that you continue to support our mission by recognizing those daughters from our United States military families that could really benefit from an opportunity such as this one. We are celebrating the success we have had to date, but we still have some work to do!
Thank you very much for your generosity and your support. Please visit our website for additional information and/or contact details: www.foudyleadershipfoundation.org.
Have a wonderful summer!
Due to your very generous support, the Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation is excited to announce that our 2010 scholarship program is off to a fantastic start. To date, we have received more applications from girls of military families than we ever have before. We are thrilled to share a week with at least 20 military daughters at the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (the "JFSLA") this summer and we thank you for making it happen!! The Foundation's review committee is busy at work with all the incoming applications. We will soon provide you with a final list of military daughters that will be joining us for this unbelievable opportunity at the JFSLA. Stay tuned for more project reports coming soon!
