"Going Big" and Raising Our Fundraising Goal!

The Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation's US Military Daughter Program is pressing forward, as we look to "go big" in our efforts to empower
young girls.  While we were fortunate to fund sixteen full scholarships to the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy ( the "JFLSA") in 2011, we are hoping to double this total in 2012!

It is with your gracious support that the Foundation has had the opportunity to impact so many young lives.  Since our military program's inception, we have raised a total of $23,642 in scholarship funding.  Girls from all over the country have had the opportunity to experience the unique leadership skills training at the JFSLA, due to your commitment to support the Foundation's mission.

We are very fortunate to have such a devoted team of supporters who believe in our mission.  We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude and pay tribute to you.  We do hope that you will continue to support the Foundation’s Military Daughter Scholarship Program once again, as we just raised our project fundraising GOAL"!

2011 Wrap Up and 2012 Goals!

The summer of 2011 exceeded our expectations on many levels.  As previously reported, we were able to bring
girls from all over the country to enjoy a week long Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy ("JFSLA") experience.  Our outreach was far beyond what we would have imagined it to be, with US military daughters joining us from Kentucky, Utah, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Colorado, California, New York and Alabama.

It is with your gracious support that the Foundation has touched these young lives in so many ways.  With the unique leadership skills training at the JFSLA, these girls are returning home with a new sense of self and invigorated spirit about them.  We are currently receiving project reports from former students, as they are enthusiastic to share how their perspective on serving others has changed since attending the JFSLA.

The Foundation's US Military Daughter Program is pressing forward now, as we "go big" in our efforts to change our country by empowering young girls.  While we were fortunate to fund sixteen full scholarships to the Academy in 2011, we are hoping to double this total in 2012!

We continue to feel very fortunate to have such a devoted team of supporters who believe in our mission.  We would
like to extend our sincerest gratitude and pay tribute to you.  We hope that you will consider supporting the
Foundation’s Military Daughter Scholarship Program once again, as we prepare for next summer.  You can find more information at the Foundation website, which is:  www.foudyleadershipfoundation.org.

SUMMER OF SUCCESS!

The summer of 2011 marks another great success for the Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation’s Military Daughter Scholarship Program.  We are pleased to report that girls from all over the country had the opportunity to spend a week at the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (the "JFSLA").

Our goal for this summer was to share the JFSLA experience with even more US military daughters, in an effort to show our appreciation for those parents who serve our country.  Due to your generous support, we had military daughters join us from Kentucky, Utah, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Colorado, California, New York and Alabama.  This year’s outreach effort took us way beyond the level of success we have celebrated to date and we have YOU to thank for this accomplishment.

Sixteen military daughters have now had the opportunity to embrace their inner self, find their voice, and learn how they can return to their respective communities as strong, confident leaders.  Below is just one example of how your support has made an impact.  Alan, the father of one scholarship recipient had this to share:

"I'm writing to say thank-you ... it’s nice to know my 20 years of military service is still appreciated.  Without your scholarship, my daughter's dream of attending the leadership Academy would have remained just that and I would have been denied her endless smile as she reminisces about all her Chicago experiences.  Thank you, again, for being such a positive influence on my daughter."

We feel incredibly fortunate to have such a strong team of supporters who believe in our mission and we want to extend our sincerest gratitude.  We hope that you will continue to support the Foundation’s Military Daughter Scholarship Program as we push forward to prepare for next summer.  You can find more information at the Foundation website, which is:  www.foudyleadershipfoundation.org.

Summer is Upon Us....Let's Keep Movin' Forward!

Due to your generous support by way of the Foundation’s 2011 Military Daughter Scholarship Program, we are pleased to report that girls from all over the country will have the opportunity to spend a week at the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (the "JFSLA") this summer.

With our Academy sessions quickly approaching, we are excited to have girls from Kentucky, Utah, Wisconsin and Connecticut joining us for the first time.  As we reported around the New Year, our goal for 2011 is to double the number of military daughters on full scholarship at this summer's JFSLA sessions.  As we enter into the last phase of our 2011 fundraising efforts, we are close to achieving this goal and we hope that you will continue to support our effort.  We are so fortunate to have a strong team of supporters who believe in our mission and we are more determined than ever to add to this team by expanding our outreach even further.  Below is just one example of how your support can make an impact.

This camp has influenced my life by helping me realize that there is nothing stopping me from reaching my dreams but my own doubts, and that if I work hard enough, I can achieve anything.

As always, we are very grateful for your consideration and generosity. This is our last big push before our summer sessions are upon us, so we hope you will visit our website to obtain more information about the Foundation’s 2011 Military Daughter Scholarship Program:  www.foudyleadershipfoundation.org.

NEW YEAR UPDATE AND EXCITING GOALS FOR 2011

The team here at the Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation is excited to get started with our 2011 fundraising campaign.  With the official “kick off” of this year’s scholarship program for military daughters, we’d like to bring you up-to-date on our success so far, as well as our goals for this year.

As we reported in our 2010 program update, the Foundation was able to share the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (the "JFSLA") experience with 10 military daughters from all over the country.  The feedback we continue to receive from these girls is remarkable and has inspired us to work even harder!  Below is just one example of how your continued support is changing lives.
