This project provides financial support for un-insured medical expenses, lodging and travel expenses for children with cancer and their families.
Imagine your child has cancer. After initial devastation, you are hopeful that there is a treatment that can save your child’s life. Then, financial reality sets in. The very best treatment is several hundred miles from home, and you will need to leave your job to care for your child. The cost of running two households, the burden of un-insured treatment and prescription costs, travel and daily living expenses are overwhelming. You now have half the income and more than double the expenses.
Project will provide funding to established pediatric cancer centers and transplants centers throughout the United States.
Parents seeking the best possible care are often faced with the reality that they simply cannot afford the treatment their child needs. The program seeks to improve both the long-term health of the child and financial stability of their families.
