With Oscar winner Dr.A.R.Rahman

In a series of meetings with Khatija Rahman, Executive Director of the A.R.Rahman Foundation, arrangements are being made to have their Sunshine Orchestra perform at the Child Friendly Villages. Sunshine Orchestra’s members are all marginalized children from the slums of Chennai.

Child Friendly Villages are run by Bachpan Bhachao Andolan, started by Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi. In these villages, children are protected from traffickers and are taught life skills in addition to normal schooling. There are more than 200 such villages in operation. With the introduction of Sunshine Orchestra performances, vocal and instrumental music will be introduce to the children.
