Erika Allen - Chicago Project Manager

Erika Allen is the Growing Power Chicago Projects Manager. As the daughter of Will Allen, she has a small farm agricultural background and experience. Ms. Allen received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received her MA in art therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ms. Allen has used her wide variety of skills to develop several urban farms in Chicago.

Laurell Sims - Youth Education and Community Garden Coordinator

Ms. Sims came to Growing Power after serving as the Director of the ReVision House Urban Farm, a farm that employed young, homeless mothers in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Since 2006, Ms. Sims has supervised over 400 high-school aged teens in Growing Power's job-training program. This summer she has also worked to train over 100 adult at Growing Power's new site at Altgeld Gardens Urban Farm.
