Greetings from Yuwa.
As we enter the Summer season, there is great and exciting news on the ground over in India. Here are some highlights:
-The girls at Yuwa have been invited to participate in Spain this coming June/July at the Donosti Cup! (http://www.donosticup.com) This is Spain's largest soccer tournament and the tournament as agreed to sponsor all Yuwa girl expenses for the two week trip. In addition many other sponsors are contributing to support transportation costs for the Yuwa group.

-Our Executive Director Franz Gastler was recently featured on the Minneapolis/St. Paul MN AM 950 Wake Up Call Show. Franz along with Rose Thomson (Yuwa Intern) discussed Yuwa in detail and how the soccer programs are positively impacting youth girls in India. http://thewakeupcallradioshow.com/
-Yuwa named one of Yahoo! India's 12 unsung hero's of 2012. Yahoo!'s unsung heros is an attempt to honor those who have done some extraordinary and selfless work. This is Yahoo!'s salute to the unsung heroes of 2012. Yuwa is proud to accept this honor.

-Franz was recently featured in a India Today article featuring five leaders have have been instrumental in spreading awareness.
