A YoungArts Alumni Update

Congratulations to Iliya Mirochnik, 2006 YoungArts Winner in Visual Arts, whose mural recently was chosen for the outside wall of the Flomenhaft Gallery, located in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.

The competition, a collaboration of YoungArts and the Flomenhaft Gallery, was judged by Eleanor Heartney, independent art critic and contributing editor to Art in America magazine, and Eleanor Flomenhaft, owner and director of the Flomenhaft Gallery.

Iliya received a $500 award during a September 15 reception at the gallery, located at 547 W. 27th Street, New York.
