The project essentially aims to provide fullness of life to selected street families in manila. specifically, it will provide the following to the mentioned sectors: 1). basic services such as temporary shelter, education and health; 2). productive skills development; and organizational development. Part of the project goal is to draft a comprehensive development agenda for the street families for eventual legislation with the local city council.
Most street families are facing limited opportunities in life. they have no permanent shelter, their children do not go to school on regular basis, their do not have a sustained source of livelihood. They are not even part of any government statistics thus they are not provided with any state assistance.
The project hopes to provide them with necessary services to increase their individual capacity and thereby maximizing these opportunities. Adults are to be given skills enhancement while children will be enticed to continue school.
Ultimately, the project hopes to form the beneficiaries into a viable people's organization that can articulate needs and at same time resolve these using collective efforts.
