We will provide basic computer training skills to teachers in Siaya,Kenya on ICT skills. Eventually these teachers will use the equipment donated to their school to train the kids in their class.
The project seeks to fill in the technological gap and IT usage by the rural population in Kenya.The government is currently encouraging the civil society and the private sector to help transform rural villages into a computer literate societies.We are planning to use our university internship program as a community service tool by training teachers in rural primary school in basic computer skills.Every teacher trained will train 100 pupils per year.
We will provide basic computer training skills to the teachers in selected schools. This teachers will in turn teach the students on this skills.This training will be a sustainable way of ensuring that there is a computer literate society.
A turn over of 100 school kids will be trained per year per teacher.This Will transform our rural villages into a computer literate society and better equipped students who will compete equally with the students from the cities.
