This project plan to mobilize full participation of community, students and Government on education and build a Library to supplement all curricular books freely and computer related services to 14,562 school students at Rufiji District in Tanzania due to low enrolment ratio and poor student performance.
According to Ministry of Education, there are more than 14,562 primary and secondary school students at Rufiji District, Tanzania. Despite of 20th September 2011 UN accreditation to Tanzania for well implementation of School Programmes, in some areas such as Rufiji District, Students are at risk of poor performance, school drop out and intensified poverty. This Project will affect more than 14,000 Primary and Secondary School Students in all schools at Rufiji District and neighbouring Districts
ALISOD donate education materials to pupils in need to stimulate their effective participation and commitment on education. Teachers are helped with teaching aids such as chalks, rulers, pens, books, to reduce work hardship. Pupils, communities and teachers are taught to rise cooperation and commitment on school activities by training relevance of education on their life and national development. A planned Library will highly supplement providing reading materials to students and teachers.
The Project will donate education materials to pupils and teachers as well as sensitize commitment on education which will improve performance for 14,000 pupils. Awareness created will improve parents commitment to provide education necessities hence reduce poverty and dependency ratio. A Library will be a centre of knowledge through providing supplementary reading materials basing on school curriculum to raise more students at Rufiji District and neighbouring communities for a long time.
