Aims of the project are to bring those vulnerable women youth in touch with the modern ICT, basic knowledge on computer literacy and communicative English language and upgrade them from their existing condition. Right to information awareness has been co-opted under the action. Interventions will mobilize the 600 poor women in one network for sharing latest achievements and success in self employment through ICT based training in Shariatpur, Bangladesh.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Low literacy rate and lack of knowledge on technological access about 95 percent of the citizens of the country face some extend of IT technological problem, employment, social, democratic crisis and other problems, when a huge number of women have been facing discrimination in the society and their rights are also deprived. In the situation, they never think of modern ICT. Even our national Government cannot take any initiatives in this regards.
How will this project solve this problem?
All activities of the proposed project are designed to deliver specific outcomes. The outcomes of the proposed project will be directly helpful and supportive to change the socio-economic condition. 30 seated training centre accomplished with modern facilities in Shariatpur district in Bangladesh. Two Facilitators will run the training course. Per course will continue for two months. 20 batches and 600 participants will take the training according our syllabus, curriculum, program schedule.
Potential Long Term Impact
As modern life is very dependent on technology, it would be possible to introduce the vulnerable women to ICT and spread it allover the community. Gradually they welcome dependency on ICT and their activities will be encircled by ICT and they will try to ensure establishing this technology with their own affords. Social, legal and information rights movement will be organized and to be established in the proposed area that will carnage our society and responsibilities.
