Summary
ICA’s SAFE Campaign provides rescue, shelter and rehabilitation to victims of sex trafficking & advocacy to bring awareness in the U.S. This project will provide education services for US victims.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Over 200,000 American children are at risk of trafficking into the sex industry (USDJ). There are currently only 49 beds for US victims. When rescued, authorities have no choice but to put them into the juvenile system. ICA is opening homes for US victims of sex trafficking. This project will help with their education. ICA has 6 homes around the world. Our goal is to rescue and rehabilitate at least 6,000 girls. ICA also seeks to bring awareness and advocacy to fight for these victims.
How will this project solve this problem?
ICA is interviewing experts and researching legal & other pertinent information. ICA is forming an advisory committee & partnering with accredited children’s agencies. Homes have a family environment & holistic approach & private schools on-site.
Potential Long Term Impact
ICA will work closely with law enforcement to become the 1st choice of where to send girls when rescued. ICA’s goal is to rescue and rehabilitate at least 6,000 girls worldwide. ICA hopes to become the best model for other organizations to follow.
Project Message
I’ve been through war zones & refugee camps. Seen orphans, widows, sickness & disease. But nothing grasps my heart like the face of a young girl that has been held captive by sex trafficking.
