Trickle Up concludes work in the Delta/Gulf Coast

Trickle Up has concluded our work in the Delta/Gulf Coast region. Since we began our program there in June 2005, we have worked with local community partners to train and fund more than 70 low-income people looking to start or expand a microenterprise. Working in the region has been a challenge both for entrepreneurs and the local organizations serving them. Rebuilding economic opportunities after Hurricane Katrina is a monumental task. It will take the concerted efforts of both local and national organizations to carry on this important work and we encourage continued giving to this critical cause. We thank all of the GlobalGiving supporters, and acknowledge your part in helping us launch over 70 new businesses in the Delta/Gulf Coast region.
