Summary
Herve’s dream is to support Rwanda’s mostly female workforce. His fresh food delivery service will give stable jobs to women street-vendors and aid women balancing the dueling duties of work and home.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
As Rwandan women advance in the workforce, their time is increasingly divided between traditional homemaking duties and their new business obligations.
How will this project solve this problem?
Women comprise 55% of Rwanda’s workforce and head 1/3 of all households. Women are essential to Rwanda’s rebuilding. Supporting Herve means supporting Rwandan women as they work to balance work and home.
Potential Long Term Impact
I will provide jobs to women who used to sell fresh fruits in Kigali Streets. Three years from now, I will have 400 households as clientele and 64 employees. In addition, we will be providing fresh produce straight from the farm and at lower prices.
Project Message
"Herve’s entrepreneurial drive is evident in his work ethic. I am confident that with Bpeace, his transformative venture will succeed."
