With the promotion and publicity of Herbal Garden program being initiated from ECCA in different schools, we are now receiving lots of Expression of Interest from different schools towards developing Herbal Garden in their school periphery. Among the request received from different schools, we are being very selective towards the schools for the implementation of program. Selective in a sense that, the school where Herbal Garden program is implemented needs to replicate the idea and concept in other schools located in nearby periphery so that we do not require to reach all the schools for program implementation.
Shree Kalidhunga Higher Secondary School and Shree Majhgau Lower Secondary School of Mirge VDC, Dolkha District are two new schools where we have recently trained the students towards establishing Herbal Garden in their school. In this two day training program, 25 students involved from two schools were very much exited to develop Herbal Garden in their school, as this is a completely new concept and program for them.
“During this 2 day training program, I saw the feeling of harmony and sharing between students. And this is a very good sign of team work between students. I hope this program will increase the social bonding between the elder and smaller children, which we cannot teach the students through our course study. I thank ECCA and the trainers for implementing this program in our School” – Mr. Dhurba Pakhrin, Teacher, Shree Majhgau Lower Secondary School.
As the training program was organized in the school periphery of Majghau School, the students of Shree Kalidhunga Higher Secondary School were very much eager to implement their learning in their school periphery.
