Help over 35,000 residents of 92 rural communities in the Bajo Lempa region of El Salvador by providing strategic capacity building, board training, infrastructure assessments, and technical support.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Rural communities in El Salvador continue to face the enduring challenges of poverty, flooding disasters, and a lack of infrastructure and basic resources. Through a collaborative partnership, students travel to the Bajo Lempa region and help communities accomplish self-prescribed goals of economic self-sufficiency and poverty alleviation.
How will this project solve this problem?
Your help enables students to provide key technical assistance, such as board training, data capture and analysis, and insfrastructure assessements to help communities advance goals of poverty alleviation and economic self-sufficiency.
Potential Long Term Impact
Through a continued partnership with Team Monterey, over 92 communities in rural El Salvador will make significant progress against poverty and successfully advance toward sustained economic self-sufficiency and growth.
Project Message
I feel that this (MOU signing) is the only way that we can unite and prosper, in the development of the communities which is something that is greatly needed to progress against the poverty we face.
