Summer Jobs+ Project Will Support More Teens

Step It Up, Inc. (SIU) is a partner with U.S.A. President Obama's new Summer Jobs+ Project to help more teens connect with the workforce and engage more business partner employees to share their areas of expertise with youth. This is the win-win of SIU's summer program that matches eligible teens with career-relevant internships in partnership with the business community.

SIU's Summer Jobs+ Project will connect 20 youth from the Portland, OR metro area with on-the-job training so that they are more prepared to excel within their workplace or education and, in turn, will have increased opportunities for employment and education pathways. Business partners will build and improve their talent pipeline, leverage and hone present employee leadership skills, and demonstrate commitment to the community while promoting workforce diversity and positioning itself as the community employer of choice.

You can join an Internship Team by donating $300, $25/month as a recurring donor, and help support one youth for a summer internship! Let us know if you have a particular career industry you would like to support and we will connect you with Team Members on that Internship Team.

Thank you for supporting Youth Career Success!
