An engineer and economist who led strategy projects as an IBM consultant for 7 years, Melodie worked extensively in Asia and Africa and is experienced in developing new businesses, budgeting and evaluation. She applies business approaches to improve health. She is responsible for VSI’s drug regulatory and distribution programs.

Ndola Prata, MD, MSc - Medical and Programs Director

Dr Prata is an Angolan physician and medical demographer who has worked in many African countries. She has designed the protocols and directed technical assistance and training for the Venture Strategies clinical demonstration studies in Tanzania, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Egypt. She is also a lecturer in the School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley.
