Cambodian Children's House of Peace (CCHP) is a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered with the Royal Government of Cambodia. Our Vision is to provide growth in body, mind and spirit for vulnerable children in a community of peace. It is a residential home for 30 children between the ages of 6-18, and provides shelter, food, clothing, education and health care. Our children are from poor rural backgrounds. Without our support they would be vulnerable to trafficking, disease or abuse
Our children are from rural villages in the Siem Reap Province, our children come from very poor backgrounds with little to no access to education, health care, or essential living needs. Seven of our children have been with us for 4 years and are ready to start university or vocational training. It is a critical step in their development, as we seek to reintegrate them into the community. We wish to help them in fulfilling their ambitions.
These children have benefited from generous donors during their time at CCHP. Their education is almost complete. We would like to re-house them away from our campus so they can learn to provide from themselves and become more independent. We will provide them with transport and an allowance, so they can attend their training and pay for any training materials, petrol & food. With the space vacated by these youths, we will house another 7 young, vulnerable children on our premises.
These children have the potential to lead successful, happy lives if we help them adapt to adult life and their new responsibilities. They are all committed to helping CCHP on an ongoing basis; providing evening English lessons, maintaining our bicycles etc. They have the potential and desire to become guiding lights in Cambodia's efforts to break out of this cycle of poverty.
