Cattering For Post-election Refugees

Map of CATTERING FOR POST-ELECTION REFUGEES In the year 2007/2008 elections in Kenya there happen to be the post election violence that brought many Kenyans to be refugee in the camps in trans-zoia cherangary many families were affected,they lost all their properties. Thanks to Red cross who came in at hand and they tried to provide the refugees with food,tents,and also provided the refugees with drugs.they also gave the refugees community education on how to live with hygiene at a very congestion camp as they were. The government also helped to settle the refugee by giving them building materials and some cash for them to go with at home again life. Read more.

After The Storm

Map of AFTER THE STORM It was early in September and most people in our village had prepared their shambas.Now they were waiting on curiusly for the rain to begin so that they could plant their crops.The rains finally came one sunday evening.First there were just a few drops but then a frightening storm began.A strong wind blew the rain poured down,adn trees and house were shaken by the thunder.The rain continued until late in the night.The following morning there were pools of water everywhere and the ground was covered with broken branches.When the children at our school arrived at their school that morning they coudl hardly believe their eyes.The two class had been completely destroyed.All that remainded of the building was a heap of mud,poles and a torn roofing. Internally Displaced Persons - Idps

Map of INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS - IDPs In 2008 after elections had been held in December2007, the results were not pleasing to some citizens of Kenya. It led to tribal clashes which led to people being displaced from their neighbourhoods and towns. Many of them had nowhere to turn to as their homes had been destroyed. The government had to step up so as to help the displaced persons. Many of them were taken to where at least they could get shelter but the places were not comfortable as they had to live in tents and rain was usually the big problem. Even after the tribal; clashes had ended, some of those displaced persons have not been given their official habitat by the government of Kenya. Read more.

Post Election Violence

Map of POST ELECTION VIOLENCE It was on 2007 when thier was a post election violence in the whole country.People became unhuman and started favouring their tribe For this reason people started fighting and many innocent people lost their lives and others lost the jobs.Just becouse of the violence. Not only that, some police officers were involving themselves with bad group as MONGIKI' the group which developed insecurity and it also killed many people without mercy, Insecurity bought bad things that happened because their wasn't any security.People stole money from people's shop and other burnt other peoples houses Thank to SHELTER FORUM'organisation which after the violence it build new houses for the victims ofthe post election violence and even bought some things needed in the house like matress,blanket and sheets.Indeed sheltrer forum organisatio is to be praised for the god work it does. Post-election Violence

Map of Post-election violence The 2007 post-election chaos saw a lot of people getting their lives destroyed completely. Their homes were burnt down and also several of their property. Life in the camps where they finally found solace was really hard. Lucky enough organisaitons such as AMREF, Red-cross, the government and several NGPs chipped in and helped them to their ability. They supplied food reliefs and several of the other things and at least the internally displaced hard something to be grateful for. Read more.

Improving Shelter

Map of Improving shelter When Nairobi Pentecostal church home visited kibera houses,they realized that the homes were in a terrible conditions.The roofs were leaking badly.The bought some canvas tents and covered the roofs of the houses.This helped the presidents so much especially when the rainy season began. A Young Boy Saved From Homsexuality

Map of A young boy saved from homsexuality Kenny is now 17 years old young man who lives in Kamwokya in Kampala.Two years back at 15 years Kenny lived in bondage of homosexuality he had been kidnaped and non of his parents knew where he was.A man who kidnaped him lived his own palace with a high fence.He was just seen moving in and out by his neighbors.The man engaged Kenny in homosexual for two year. One day when Kenny had reached seventeen he devised means of getting out.Kenny narates the story. he wrote a letter trying to explain where he is and where he comes from,wrapped in over a 250g stone and threw the letter outside.A woman who was passing by was hit by the stone, she read the letter and made arrangements of saving Kenny, she went to police reported what he had seen and the police and the police came in to save Kenny.
