Summary
A community centre is needed to continue to provide vital services to an impoverished community of 4000, where many families and children live hand to mouth by combing the garbage heap and begging
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
In a community with high rates of unemployment, crime, domestic violence, school drop outs, coupled with poor sanitation and the ongoing presence of local drug traffickers, this project provides vital social, community and educational services. Reaching 4000 people in this poor region of NE Brazil, this project has won much recognition for the crucial assistance it provides and has recently been donated a piece of land by the city so that they can build a centre to continue their good work
