Summary
Thanks to this project, 150 children of the shantytowns of Casablanca improve their life skills like commitment, discipline and self-confidence through street dancing lessons.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
The project targets children who live in poor and marginalized areas of Casablanca, Morocco. We offer them the opportunity to get involved and be inspired through artistic and sport activities. We chose street dance because it attracts children who are hard to reach.
How will this project solve this problem?
Through dancing lessons, we follow the social situation and health of children. We provide check up and track their vaccination. We also organize a session on hygiene and health and a dancing show at the end of the year.
Potential Long Term Impact
The project will serve 150 children offering them the opportunity to go out from their sad slums, to express their feelings and open their minds to the world. It also creates a positive dynamic for the whole community by providing jobs.
Project Message
This project will bring joy and dreams to children who know only poverty and violence.
