VAP Partners with SVC Foundation

After a successful due diligence process conducted by Silicon Valley Community foundation (SVCF) an organization based in Carlifornia, USA, and the signing of a master agreement between the two organizations, VAP was approved as the equivalent of a US public charity and are now eligible for grants from Silicon Valley Community Foundation who use their expertise to make giving easy and effective, helping donors achieve their philanthropic goals whether local, national or International.

SVCF provides visionary community leadership by identifying emerging challenges and addresses those challenges through grant making programs, research and its ability to bring together diverse groups of problem-solvers. It builds and energizes a community of philanthropists who strengthen the common good.

Stories from the field:(Skillz Kenya Program)

“Community life is not easy, since we the youth are exposed to HIV in many ways without us knowing. From the Skillz Kenya program I have realized that the first step to stay away from HIV is to know the basic skills how to protect yourself. Just like football you have to know and master the basic skills to play the game.” 16 years old, Mohamed Osman,St.Patrick High School.

“ As young people and leaders of tomorrow,we need to take care of ourselves and exercise what we’ve been taught about HIV/AIDS  because by doing so,our future and our society will be healthier and stronger” Said,14 year old Juliana Atieno from Salama Primary school
