The Home I Always Dream Of

MY NEW HOME
MY NEW HOME
Home?

I have heard of that. It’s the place where you feel comfort, ease, and protection.
It’s where you know you are protected from all kinds of danger, where security is always present and especially…
It serves as a sturdy and firm shelter that will shield you from all kinds of weather.

I once thought of my home as like that. Though it’s just a simple abode, I loved it.

But then, everything I thought about it changed when nature started to test it. I can never forget that day — August 18, 2013 here in the far city of Cavite, when harsh rain started to pour continuously. The water level rose and the next thing I saw was… flood.

I guess my home isn’t that firm and sturdy as I used to think it was. Batches of water just gushed and Alas! It gave up. Now we have nowhere to go.

Luckily, a group of people in blue came to our rescue. I suddenly found hope when I saw something printed behind their backs; a logo of a… home –Children’s Joy Foundation Inc. (CJFI).

They renewed our flooded houses and replaced them with even better ones! New furnitures were provided and decks were constructed. ‘Plus’ they’ve remodeled the whole structure to make it sure that even the worst flood could not barge in. But what caught my attention most was when I saw sets of computer units sitting in the tables of our new living room! We finally have our own computer!

CJFI really never fails to give hope.

Through their humble cause, they have helped a lot of children who are in need like me.

Now, I can finally say that my home was always what I thought it was. Thanks to the CJFI my feeble home became strong, sturdy, and new.
