Fourteen children, who are invovled in either begging or vending to meet out the livelihood are being motivated through personal interaction with staff's and they are getting education for the period of two to three hours by the erudite teachers to inculcate the habit of reading and writing. One big hall and one rooms hired by the BGVP on rental basis, where non-formal centers are running. The children are being provided with teaching and learning materials and lunch every day. Apart from that the teachers are also making aware them about the importance of personal and domestic hygeine, as such type of children are generally live in unhygeinic conditions and caught by diseases. The children are also involved in recreation/amusement acitivities to develop confidence among themselves. The recreational materials are provided by the Bihar Gramin Vikas Parishad. The children are also motivated to enroll their name in formal education i.e in government school to continue their higher education. The organization has done parent teachers meeting to motivate their parents on the importance of education and how education will shape their children lives.
Mr. Guddu Kumar, 11 years old, involved in vending at the Sahebppur Kamal railway station, is now inculcating the habit of reading and writing at the NFE centers running by BGVP and said that we will definately take admission in government school to continue his higher education and one day he will make attempt for government jobs to secure his life and to look after his parents.
