This summer CEO Kadiatou Sidibe visited Bamako to spend some time with the children and inquire about the status of the construction of Zorokoro. The first dorm is now at its final phase and we need help with leveling out the 5 acre of land surrounding the dorm so that the children have a safe playground. We concluded the academic year with 75% of our children passing to the next grade. The remainder is enrolled into a special tutoring program to fill the gap that we identified when the children transferred from public school to private school. This summer, the children also started their skill building education. Adama and Lassine commenced the tailoring school and we are working on setting up a wood sculpture school in the next few month. Mali now has a democratically elected president who will take office on 04 Sep 2013. Things are moving in the right direction for the country, but the vulnerable children left as a result of the last 2 years turmoil, still need help. ACFA’s answer to these events is to ensure that the Zorokoro project maintains course and stays on track to receive and support more vulnerable children.
Please donate today and help us ensure that our work continues and that the vulnerable children of Mali are afforded the security of the holistic program that ACFA offers them. Thank you for supporting our efforts towards attaining our vision.
