Challenge

Ghana represents a fertile environment for the development of entrepreneurs in contributing to social and economic improvement, where over 10% of the country still live below the poverty line. Women are particularly isolated and restricted from development due to a lack of access to education, resource and support with regards to gaining basic business knowledge and skills, where a significant opportunity exists for female-led businesses to produce exponential benefits for their local community

Solution

In order to help bridge the existing knowledge gap, educate female entrepreneurs and help to build these business-critical relationships, funding is required to deliver business workshops to carefully targeted areas of Ghana through mobile educator units. Teams of up to two educators will deliver workshops for a period of up to 9 months, where donations from as little as $15 can provide an education session to up to 25 female entrepreneurs in their local community environment.

Long-Term Impact

It is anticipated this knowledge will be shared and spread throughout the communities reached, creating a lasting legacy where the ultimate vision in achieving university accreditation could help to reduce educational isolation whilst simultaneously generating social improvement and poverty reduction through business stimulation.
