Roots of Empathy's goal is to build social and emotional literacy, decrease levels of violence and aggression and break intergenerational cycles of abuse and neglect among school children. This project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Project Report" tab as they become available.

ROE builds empathy in school children with a view to decreasing violence and aggression and breaking intergernational cycles of abuse and neglect. It has reached 213,725 Canadian schoolchildren since 1996 and continues to expand annually.
