Heidi & Stella Duque - Founders, Taller de Vida

Founded 12 years ago by two sisters-one a psychologist, the other an educational social worker-Taller de Vida works with youth who are at high risk for being recruited as child soldiers in Colombia's war, in which all sides exploit poor children to advance their combat goals. Taller de Vida's objective is to provide Colombian women and children with the support they need.

Yifat Susskind - Executive Director

Yifat Susskind works to make human rights a reality for all people. At MADRE, Yifat has worked with women's human rights activists from Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East to create programs in their communities to address violence against women, economic development, climate change, and armed conflict.
