Help blind children in Inner Mongolia, China

Currently Bao Tou Eye Hospital offers very limited eye care for children, thus ORBIS will help the hospital to establish a professional paediatric eye care centre that can provide quality and affordable services

Bao Tou Eye Hospital performs less than 50 paediatric surgeries each year and are mainly performed by visiting specialists from Beijing and Tianjin. Thus ORBIS will train up the skills for medical staff there

It established in 1993 as a state-owned eye care hospital and offers 50 in patient beds and have 12 doctors and 7 nurses. ORBIS will partner with this hospital to set up a fully equipped, staffed and competent paediatric eye care centre.

A 78-year-old lady with no formal ophthalmology training,does her best to offer affordable eye care services to villagers. She relies on basic instruments and eye drops to treat simple conditions. ORBIS will provide better focused training that will enhance the basic eye care knowledge and skills of village doctors and health workers.
