Help us support the volunteers by providing them with the essentials they require to teach and learn. U&I works with 500 slum children and orphans and more than 52 women who were rescued from trafficking/ abusive situations by providing them non formal education at their point of need.
U&I provides non formal education to more than 500 kids with 350 active volunteers taking them through the high quality interactive material that helps them get a firm foundation in English, computers and various other subjects. These kids and volunteers have spent more than 200 hours this year learning, creating, having fun and building each other up. They have another 6 months to go and U&I needs your help in getting them through the rest of the way.
The non formal education that U&I provides increases a child's employ-ability by 200%. But for this they need to finish the course, finish the exam and get certified. This project will enable them to go all the way to the finish line!
The training our students receive in English, Computers & Job Skills enables them to get jobs where they can make enough to support their families.Well paid jobs break the cycle of poverty and enables them to provide a better life for their children. It is seen that a lot of these children give back to the communities that raised them, hence the long term impacts, of more than 500 children growing up with the potential to give back, are tremendous.
