Challenge

Nearly 1 in 4 Egyptians aged between 18 and 30 is out of work.Young women are 4 times as likely as their male counterparts to be un/underemployed, one of the largest gender workforce disparities in the world. Paradoxically, for both Egyptian men and women, those who have completed their secondary or tertiary education are most vulnerable to unemployment. EFE-Egypt will transform their lives by providing them with high-quality, market-driven training, job placements and ongoing support.

Solution

The participants will be trained in workplace principles, ethics, communication, self-confidence, presentation, teamwork and time management then placed in junior level professional jobs with private sector employers.

Long-Term Impact

Program graduates will be better equipped and empowered to sustain promising professional careers in the formal job market, giving them hope for the future and allowing them to benefit their families and communities and mentor others.
