Feat program by Chairman

Dear donors,

CDC  Nepal  is  very much pleased to inform you all  that we   have  been supporting Sarita Children Home Samakhusi Kathmandu  to feed 17 children  since  we received fund from  Global giving organization USA.
Now  the kids  are not  hungry. They have got enough food to eat and are happy to go to school. With the help of   your vaulabe donation we   have been able to make  the orphaned and helpess children happy and healthy

The orphanage  needs 300kg  to feed the kids per months.  The cost of rice is Rs.60.00 per kg and so Rs.18000 per month. It is approximately USD 200 per month.
Last week we arranged feast for them on the auspicious occasion of my happy birthday. They could have rice pudding and enjoyed it very much.
A volunteer   from Germany  has been helping tht children   in doing their homework for  one month. The kids  are learning English from her.

The Dashain our greatest festival is coming. We are going to celebrate on coming Octber. The children need new clothes. We have to provide special food  for them.
However we have to do more to help the kids. We will have  to continue  feeding  them in  coming days. So we will have to raise more  fund.  We will pave to try our best to raise USD  200 per month.  We would like to request all to help us in  our mission.
We would like to extend our special thanks  to you all once again for your valuable donations  for   our program.

CDD Nepal started supporting 17 kids in Orphanage in Nepal

Sarita with her children
Sarita with her children

Dear donors

We would like to inform you all that our CDC committee  deiced to support 17 orphaned and helpless children  of   an Orphanage Entitled Sarita Children Home in Kathamndu Metropolitan City ward no 1 Samakhusi Kathmandu, Nepal  from April 2013.

Sarirta Khadka,  an unmarried woman  from  Kathmandu, established the home in  2007  by spending   her own landed property received from her parents. Since she needed more money, she also borrowed Rs. 50000 (USD600) from a bank to establish the organization.  Her aim is to   take care of such orphaned and helpless children, manage them to  go to school  and  help them self depended in their future life.

Now there are 17orphaned and helpless kids. They are 7 girls an 10 boys from 4 to 13 years of age. There is no body to take care of them apart from Sarita.  She has borrowed a house on rent for the organization. She cooks herself  for them, feeds them .  There are 4 children   below 5 years old. They sleep with her. She loves all the children equally. The children also love her very much. When she goes out the some small kids follow her.

Since the organization   does not have any source of income, Sarita collects donation in the market to feed  them,  pay  for their  educational cost  pay monthly  house rent and  manage other costs.   She   has also opened a shop in the market. The bigger children help her in her shop when they are free. She spends the profit to run the organization.

For  two  months Sarita is ill. She has been  suffering from backache. As prescribed by the doctor she has been taking  some medicines. The doctor has advised her to have a rest. The children are worried to see her mother suffering from backache. Sarita  is very much worried about the children. She says, "Who takes care of those children if dies"

CDC Nepal felt necessity to   support Sarira  to feed  17 kids. Since April 2013 we have been helping the organization to feed   the children.

The organization needs more. We need money to feed them, to pay for their school   dress   as well as to pay the house rent.

We would like to request you to:

  • share us with  your family and friends as well as among our network.
  • like us on face book page

Finally, we would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to   all our donors once again and also hope  you will remember us and our  kids fondly in the future.
