Our Youth Cares program teaches kids garderning

Our Youth Cares program teaches kids garderning
The vision of our Youth Cares program is to educate and actively engage the youth in a variety of activities that develop the life skills necessary to promote a strong sense of leadership and community awareness. Our philosophy is that through inspiring and engaging youth in learning partnerships, they will be inspired to get involved and take action to improve their local communities and change the world. This initiative supports youth action, creates the platform for youth to translate what they have learnt or desire to do into action while at the same time involving youth in decision making in key developmental and global issues. Our main objective is to do something that will show the world that young people care about their communities and they have the power to change the world if they are given enough support (view small | med | large | orig)

Our scouts at a Jamboree in Bulawayo

Our scouts at a Jamboree in Bulawayo
Our Youth Cares program offers a scouting program. Most of the kids who participate in our Youth Cares programs are orphans and underpriviledged kids. The Tekeshe Foundations provides for the scouting uniforms and pays for these kids to go to camping trips and to the annually held Jamboree. This trips mean a lot to most of these kids most of whom have never left the rural areas. This gives them an opportunity to meet kids from other parts of the country. Bringing Joy To Kids At Christmas Time

Bringing Joy To Kids At Christmas Time
Christmas 2013 was a happy time indeed as the kids who participate in our Youth program receive toys and candy. Without your support these kids would never receive any toys for Christmas. (view small | med | large | orig)
