Why this Project is Important

Potential Long Term Impact

Social alienation will be diminished and conflicts will be reduced. Acceptance and inclusion of homeless people in our society will grow as people come to see themselves and their own humanity in homeless people. Real solutions will then be possible.

Project Message

The Hearts of Fire visit to Community of Hope proved to be a huge success. Homelessness is a misunderstood phenomenon and programs like this allow the general population to be enlightened about it.
- Roz Fuller, Exec. Director, Community Of Hope, Wash. D.C.

Latest Update from the Field

Thank You For Supporting Us

By Bob Ballard - Executive Director, July 02, 2009 10:53 AM

Our thanks to all the wonderful people who contributed to our project during the American Challenge. Although we didn't achieve our goal, the money you contributed will help us bring an art workshop to a local homeless shelter. People feel empowered and connected through these activities and without you, we could not do that.
Thank you.
