Portable ecosan toilet in devastated areas
Warm greetings from Cagayan de Oro. Thanks so much for your support enabling us to provide safe sanitation for the poor especially for the thousands of survivors of Typhoon Sendong. The typhoon struck on the early hours of December 17 and the water rose up very quickly engulfing houses and killing thousands. We are now focusing on the survivors providing them with safe sanitation via our portable ecosan toilets. Later on we will implement vegetable gardening for the survivors to provide them adequate food supply. The UN report as of Jan. 11, says there are 197,480 people living in makeshift shelters in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan without adequate sanitation. Our ecosan portable toilets is so far the most effective response in this situation...the imported expensive portalets is no match. We need a lot of support and hoping you can help us communicate to your friends and colleagues of our initiative.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
