To all of our wonderful Donors,
The project team with students from University of California - Los Angeles is leaving in one month for Guatemala to work with the community to support survivors of sexual violence by teaching them business skills to strengthen their eco-weaving and toiletry product enterprises, to allow these women to generate more income and achieve economic stability. If you are interested in following our project this summer as we work in Guatemala, you may do so at this link: http://nourishinternational.org/blog/. We will be continually posting blogs about our experiences living and working with the community. Our project page will be taken off of Global Giving at the beginning of June when we make our final donation to the community. If you are interested in making a final donation your support would be greatly appreciated in the next two weeks.
Thank you for helping us engage students, empower communities, and eradicate poverty.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity in support of UCLA and Stanford Nourish International’s project Business Skills for Guatemalan Women.
The project team with students from University of California - Los Angeles is gearing up to travel to Guatemala and work with local women and their free enterprises. The students have been preparing their travel arrangements, reading up on Guatemalan history and culture, practicing their Spanish, and making lesson plans for basic business skills. Your support for this project is greatly appreciated. Stay tuned for more updates!
Project Reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you will get an e-mail when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports via e-mail without donating or by subscribing to this project's RSS feed.
Combined with other sources of funding, this project raised enough money to fund the outlined activities and is no longer accepting donations.
