EduPaz seeks to: promote the participation of community members in their development; foment the empowerment of women, indigenous people, farmers and the urban poor; work side by side with community members, avoiding paternalism; implement programs based on the expressed priorities and points of view of community members rather than impose a set program or agenda; respect political and religious differences; promote gender equity.
Economic Solidarity Program has provided credit and technical support to a total of 40 groups with a total of approximately 400 members (50% women). Agroecology Program - promotes food security, self-reliance and ecological sustainability through sustainable agriculture, small-scale animal husbandry, renewable energy and rainwater harvesting. Health Center - trains 100 people per year (50% women) in natural medicine, and provides direct health services to 300 people per year (80% women).

José García López - Program Coordinator
Jose is an indigenous farmer from the Tojolabal Mayan ethnicity with a long track record of community service and leadership. He founded a cooperative in his community, supported refugees before their return to Guatemala in another community, and participated in several indigenous farmers organizations and has been at EduPaz for five years as the solidarity economics program coordinator.
Javier Inda Andrio - Executive Director
Javier has worked with EduPaz for 5 years in the area of solidarity economics and is now its Executive Director. He worked for 25 years in the Dioceses of the Catholic Church with was in the rural parishes for 16 years working together in a team with priests, religious and secular people in indigenous areas. He has experience in popular education and popular processes of consciousness.
