EVI provides mentoring and training to small scale, entrepreneurs in low-income communities across the United States to identify green business opportunities and cost-savings to support prosperity.
Across the country, communities are facing the harsh and lingering impacts of economic recession. Small business needs support as it is a key engine of job creation and community prosperity. Small businesses can find opportunities for revenue growth and cost-savings through implementing environmentally and socially responsible activities but often have lack of resources and assistance to realize these opportunities. We work currently in rural Maryland and metro Atlanta.
EVI's GreenBusiness GreenJobs links entrepreneurs in distressed communities to green markets and provides mentorship to find cost-savings in green activities leading to sustainable income and growing community health and prosperity.
By thinking through the environmental impact relevant to a business, an entrepreneur identifies opportunities that actually maximize resource use, minimize cost, and help promote stewardship in our communities that enhances long term sustainability.
