New alternative for the treatment of brain tumor

Patients in GRAACC have new alternative for the treatment of brain tumors which prevents repeated surgeries for the removal of brain tumors. because a new product already in use. Children with subependymal giant cell astrocytoma, a type of tumor that can cause even cause tumors in various organs, earning an alternative to surgery. The drug is indicated for the treatment of advanced kidney cancer and neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas is also approved for the treatment of this type of tumor that mainly affects children and adolescents and can be fatal.

During treatment with 75% of the patients had reduction GRAACC Hospital tumor volume by 30% and none of them had to undergo surgery during the period of treatment.

The quality of care, multidisciplinary and highly specialized care are some of the factors that position the day to day GRAACC as a reference center for the treatment of complex cases and rare childhood cancer, taking the lead in proposing and clinical studies involving multiple centers and hundreds of patients.
