Support an international conservation movement to study and save the Endangered Cassowary (AKA) ‘Gardener of the Rainforest’ and its mega bio-diverse habitat from peril.
The World Heritage Listed Daintree rainforest in Australia contains the highest numbers of plant and animal species that are rare, or threatened with extinction anywhere in the world. The cassowary plays a major role in this biodiversity hotspot. The Australian Rainforest Foundation is working with IT specialists, conservationists, ecologists, biologists, zoologists and universities to conduct vital research and studies. The cassowary, rainforest and career-minded students will all benefit.
Conduct behavioral & ecological studies on the cassowary in the wild, semi-wild and captive and on its bio-diverse habitat. Create a universal management tool for environmental impact assessments and population estimation for endangered species.
This international conservation effort brings together experts from many fields to tackle critical environmental issues. Nurturing career minded college students today will prepare future leadership and ensure conservation management advancement.
