We've received new requests from NGO's in Nepal for assistance with Global Giving this past month. In the Dhading District, there is an NGO who works in multiple sectors and has started programs all over the district in HIV/Aids awareness, two community schools, women's skill training, a school for blind children and many other projects. The staff lacks the ability to prepare documents in English to submit to Global Giving so our staff in Nepal, who was trained earlier this year by visiting Global Giving interns will be working with them and helping to get them ready for an open challenge in the future.
Just today I was contacted by a youth group in Nepal who is also very active in programs such as; Youth in Civic Leadership, Youth in Governance, and Human Rights. They are also hoping to submit a project for a future open challenge and have requested our help in choosing and preparing a project to present.
Project Reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you will get an e-mail when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports via e-mail without donating or by subscribing to this project's RSS feed.
