RACOBAO supports senior woman teacher with training in making Sanitary Towels.
With support from Globalgiving, RACOBAO is continuing to train Prossy a senior woman teacher at Kempega Primary School in Lyantonde district. Prossy is undergoing an eight months apprenticeship training aimed at equipping her with skills in making sanitary towels using locally available materials. This project has so far supported 25 vulnerable girls with sanitary pads and the monitoring is still going ahead.
Ms. Nakawesi Berna the head teacher of Kampega Primary School appreciates the support from RACOBAO which has led to a significant improvement in the young girls’ school attendance ever since they started receiving the sanitary pads. Prossy is expected to start imparting the acquired skills to the vulnerable girls.
RACOBAO is very grateful for the support from Globalgiving that has enabled the project to reach this far.
