Daphine with her fellow children at school
Daphine Nandowoza is a 14 year old girl who goes to Turyagenda Foundation primary school in Lyantonde District. Daphine is in Primary five and always missed school whenever it came to her menstruation periods due to lack of what to use and the fear of stigma from fellow students. This put her in lot of worries and the only solution was to miss lessons whenever she could be in periods. This has affects Daphine’s performance due to this psychological torture.
Daphine appreciated what RACOBAO did for her and in her own words managed to write a letter to our fundraisers on the Global giving website as per attached. She thanked so much Global giving to think about them as poor children who cannot raise even a single dollar to buy a sanitary pad. In the photo Daphine is the second on the left.
RACOBAO sends its sincere thanks to GlobalGiving for keeping such poor girls in school because whenever young girls experience such, they get worried and end up dropping out of schools.
